Oh my! I have been struck by the golfing gods. They have driven me to play and play hard. New bag, old clubs, and a desire to swing hard.
Good morning from NAPE ‘09.
This is my first time to host a booth at this show. Already I am learning the do’s and do not’s in having a booth. Do plan 6 months in advance. Do not leave anything to plan later than two weeks out.
So I’m here at the Radio Music Theater here in Houston waiting on a presentation on the relatively new CS4 packages. I found out about the Meetup on Meetup.com photography group.
If you haven’t visited this site you simply must. I have had to start traveling a whole lot in the last seven months and it gets lonely when I’m away from home. First off let me dispell one misconception. It’s not a dating site. This site allows me to meet people in my new town with similiar intrests. Have a hobby like photography? There has been at least three different groups in every city I have ever been in. I have a Welsh Pembroke Corgi and I attend the Dallas Corgi Meetup group that has parties every other month for owners and their dogs to hangout and play.
Now back to the original topic at hand. Adobe came out with a new suite.
Just started the two day marathon of the new season of 24! This started off like I wasn’t going to like it. But by the third hour it has started to rock.
Baurer is kicking ass and keeping you guessing. Good guys are bad guys and vice versa. No spoilers so I’ll shutup for now.
Tune in for more this Monday.
Gearing up for a new year and getting ready to do a whole lot more traveling. In six weeks I plan on going to Lafayette, Corpus Christi, Houston, Dallas, Calgary, and Toronto.
Waiting on my house to sell and then figure out what is the next step. Keep commuting, start to seriously look at houses, figure out how and when to move the family down to Houston, and see when I can go back to school.
Cutting it short for dinner so more to come. Happy New Years everyone!
As I am taxing down the runway, I am so glad to be an American. I have been watching the Canadians having a tantrum over there election results a month ago. Turns out that having less parties to vote for is a good thing.
I got Shangied by a socialist on the plane and had to hear why Canada was better than America. Earlier in the week I had to hear about America doesn’t win any wars anymore and the dope actually believed we help start the second world war. I tackfully reminded him that Canada was in ww 2 a whole before the Americans they were flying their fighters in the battle of Britian.
It never ceases to amaze me that people can take such a hard stance about a specific topic and know next to nothing about the facts to properly support their argument.
Omg Calgary is so cold right now. 11 degrees and flurries. It got down to nine degrees this mourning with lots of wind. This o’ky came prepared, but it’s like a frozen dessert up here.
Good thing for Indian food. If your ever in Calgary, you have to stop by Moti Mahal’s on 14 st sw and 17 ave sw. Great food, great atmosphere, good service. Lamb is wonderful and the masala is usually a 6 out of ten on the spice scale, but wash it down with a Stella Artios beer and buttered naan. The rice is amazing and cooked to perfection. Off to go find some chocolate to put out this simmer.
Back in the states Friday night and can’t wait to see my Sooners plow through Mizzou like a wrecking ball. Go Sooners and a boo hoo to you long horns fans. You be telling Ou fans the samething if you were going. Bradford rocks and should get the hiesman over that bum tebow. He’s got one so bugger of gator bait.
Stress bites! Commuting long distances and being away from ones that you love is hard. Being alone for days at a time with nothing more than listening to Podcasts gets old. Sitting in the love field airport in Dallas just killing time until heading back to Houston.
While I wait out Ike’s after math here in Dallas, I have to wait till we get electricity back online. The national guard is currently out front watching over our complex due to it’s proximity to the galleria of Houston.
Working on more projects than I can handle. Trying to over haul a corporate wireless bills in Canada and it is very frustrating. Canada refuses to compete on rates like the US.
Ten hours to go! First trip up to Canada. Looking forward to seeing our old friends from Houston who moved back to Canada. Get to also meet our Canadian subsidary for the first time.
Packing for this trip has been a real challenge. Highest highs are in the low 90’s while the lowest highs will be in the 60’s by the end of the week. While getting the house packed, my wife packed all of my blue jeans. So staying warm and comfy will be reduced to slacks this trip.
Back to the ten hours. By the time I got here at 6 am, leave at 8 am, get to Houston and fly on out at 11 am. I won’t be in Calgary until 3:20 pm cst. Okay, so that is only nine and half hours. Unfortunately, when you wake up at 4 am and didn’t get to sleep until 1 am your day really starts to drag. Here’s a rule that congress should pass along with their really dumb ass laws. There either should be a starbucks open two hours before the earliest flight, a starbucks in every airport, or no flights until one opens.
Boarding is starting to my first leg of this 2,440 mile trip so I’m signing off and hope all is well. And remeber that chance always favors the prepared mind.
